Kevin Temple and John Cole took several medals at the Missouri Senior Games.

Saturday started off with the 40k road race with Kevin winning the overall and John coming in 2nd in his age group. No rest for the weary, that same afternoon was the 5 k TT. John had the fastest time overall and Kevin won his age group with the second fastest time of the day.

Sunday threatened rain but remained dry. In the 20k road race Kevin and John led a 5 man breakaway within the first 1/2 mile of the race. All 5 riders shared the work allowing the breakaway to stick. As the riders approached the finish John and Kevin were able to break away from the other three riders; John took 1st just ahead of Kevin who took 2nd place overall.

The final race was an out and back 10 k TT with a strong head wind waiting for the riders on the way back to the start/finish. Kevin and John took first in their respective age divisions.

An extremely successful weekend for the two riders, Kevin took four gold medals in the 55 to 59 age group and John took three gold and one silver medal in the 50 to 54 age group. Next up for these two is the National Senior Games in Minneapolis MN in July.
